Alan (plumboz) | 110 comments I have had a really good run of books I've enjoyed lately, but this one stands out. Wonderful, wonderful characters, especially Elsa. Excellent on every level. Many laugh-out-loud bits, scenes that brought a tear or two, gentle wisdom, a helping of suspense, you name it.

I will be getting Fredrik Backman's other books "Britt Marie Was Here" and "A Man Called Ove" as soon as possible.

I've heard Ove is good and this one sounds wonderful. Thank you.

Kath Middleton | 25094 comments Two thirds through 'My Grandmother' which has a mythic quality and I've already stayed up too late the last couple of nights. :)
