I nominate The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls; It's a memoir. I've heard a lot of good things about it and it seems to have a bunch of good reviews.

I nominate The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne
I nominate Night Film by Marisha Pessl, since it's getting cold and this book seems like a nice thriller to read in the cold season :D
