Our group rather liked Hannah's book. We gave it 4.6 stars out of 5. We cried, we suffered, we celebrated survival. Personally, I found it quite powerful in its depiction of the steady crescendo of misery in Nazi-occupied France (even if there were a couple of moments I rolled my eyes) and was tickled to learn of its inspiration through the actual person of Andree de Jongh.

Vanessa Frymier (nessissippi) | 8 comments I read this back in March and adored it! Probably the most memorable book I've read this year.

It's made at least one "best of the year" list so far. https://www.bookbrowse.com/blogs/edit... or see http://www.csmonitor.com/Books/2015/0... I hear Tri-Star bought the movie rights ... could be interesting.
