Ayunda (ayundabs) I've always wanted to read this book! I loved The Shining, it's my favourite Stephen King so far.

For those of you reading Dr. Sleep:

How did you experience the book? Were you engaged immediately, or did it take you a while to
"get into it"? How did you feel reading it—amused,
sad, disturbed, confused, bored...?

I havent started it yet!

I've started the book! Wow! It's better than I thought it would be. It moves pretty quickly into the meat of the story. I haven't been able to put it down. I read 350 pages last night and tonight. It's creepy, weird, well paced. At this point it's four to five stars.

If you've seen the movie you won't have any trouble with this sequel novel. It's been awhile for me so I did do a couple of quickie Google checks to refresh my memory about a couple of characters in the prequel. Overall, no problems with picking up the sequel.
