Juliea Q Smith I have read both the Throne Of Glass and Court of series and love them, but I seriously think SJM overuses and abuses the word barking. Everyone is always barking in pain and barking with exhaustion and having barking feet. Every time I get to the word barking it takes me out of the story for a moment.

Solaris LOL.

And let us not forget

snarl,
growl,
roar,
bellow,
gobble,
vomit,
snap,
crackle,
throat-slashing,
throat-ripping,
gutting,
disemboweling,
indeed,
and the ever present.....tan.

^.~

Renée You forgot nibble!!!!!!!!!

S.L.J. I thought 'Purr/purring/purred' was the most overused. I swear it is on every page.

Solaris "muscled"
