Couldn't agree more. Seen him a few times live - best was in a pub venue when he was touring with a little known band between Dire Straits gigs. My table was about 10 feet from the stage - that guy can play alright!

message 38: by Gary (last edited Aug 14, 2017 04:24AM) (new)

Gary Sundell | 1061 comments Glen Campbell. See Mason William's hit Classical Gas as played by Glen. Or maybe Glen's guitar work for Sinatra, Jan and Dean, The Monkees, The Beach Boys, Barbara Mandrell and others. There are tons of You Tube videos showing Glen doing his thing with guitar, banjo and other instruments. Even on his final tour Glen was showing off his guitar skills playing opposite his daughter Ashley in Dueling Banjos.

message 39: by Amber (last edited Aug 15, 2017 01:09PM) (new)

Amber Martingale Can't believe he's gone.

message 40: by Gary (last edited Aug 15, 2017 06:20PM) (new)

Gary Sundell | 1061 comments Glen's youngest daughter, Ashley, is a heck of a banjo player, key board player and guitar player. She toured with her dad, as did her two brothers Shannon and Cal. She also has done gigs with Rascal Flats. She is the banjo player in the video of the Rascal Flats song Banjo. There are at least a half dozen different You Tube videos of Glen and Ashley playing Dueling Banjos.
There is also a You Tube video of Glen and Eric Clapton playing together.
