I'm not bad... Slowish day at work, I guess. But, I left my earphones at home, so no audio books for me. :-/

:O no public bbs. Didn't you have a computer at home? That was a funny time for internet. You'd have bbs and everyone would make a page and it was your profile--back in the day of dial-up.

Those PC desktops were big. I remember having Apple II then macs when they came out. We were the technology pioneers.

Computers were slower to arrive in India. I only got my first home computer in 1999. And that was when we didn't have home internet services, which took another few years.

And now, we already have the second largest number of internet users in the world. What growth!

What a nightmare that was!!! Even my mother was like, what is up with that? I told her just stick them in the iggy box. Problem was only 50 fit in the iggy box and I had to figure out which monster to let loose. :(

In 2000 I did a college paper for my Pop culture class. It was about chatrooms. That was a fun paper. I made a bunch of different usernames. So the Indian men loved the girly names. When I did more unisex or masculine names, they didn't bother me one bit. I did entire section about the evolutions of the bots. :D

I didn't even have internet access till 2000. And after that, I was too taken in my the world of live sports updates and writing stuff to publish, to bother about anything else.

A friend and I tried the mirc chat thing, but found mostly Filipinos there and got bored rather quickly. :P
