Yeah well now they keep adding to the custerfuck of a mess just delete these copies!https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

Delete. These. Versions.
This is causing me stress and I am angry that a simple request is being dealt with so poorly what part of 'delete this book' is so hard to understand that you keep making things worse!
Or am I just talking to a brick wall, because it sure feels like my point is getting nowhere and you just want to blatantly ignore my requests and completely ignore that this whole clusterfuck has caused me to be very, very stressed and cause unwanted anger? No really because I feel like what I am saying is going on death ears.Is this how you people to feel on your site? Because if this what you wanted to achieve well done because I am in tears.
You gonna flag me here too because I'm calling you out on and how badly you are handling the situation, because if this how you treat things like this pat yourselves on the back because I am done.
Sorry you are stressed. Unfortunately you don't seem to realise that GoodReads operates like a library and not a store (or at least it used to) so anyone + import bots regularly add thousands of books to the database everyday. You are not being singled out.
A book can only be removed if it has never been published, even an ARC will cause it to remain, or if it is duplicate of one already in the database.
ETA: I forgot to mention that all the people you are yelling at are volunteers and we come from all over the world, so please stop doing that.
Yeah well I gave up on the previous thread deleted all existence of it because, you know, why bother anyway. This has really messed up my day I hope you're happy.
Oh unless you're wondering little messes like this really, really get under my skin and ruin things. And if you think it's amusing that I am having a violent mood swing because of this well. Just so you know this something I was hoping I wouldn't have to face but because I woke up and saw you have no idea how angry it has made me. Oh those 'newly added versions are duplicates and didn't you say that duplicates could be deleted. Or am I mistaken.
At the risk of being called an idiot again, these two editions have a truncated isbn13 (one in in the isbn10 field, the other in the ASIN field)

These probably need correcting or merging with the matching edition with the complete isbn13.
ETA: and revised editions should in general be combined with the original edition, according to GR policy
Or is there a way that I descreetly remove them by combing them if so I'd rather be rid of these atrocities that way.I just want them gone.
We do not write the rules, we follow them. You would need to take it up with GR support. If we violate policy we could get our status revoked.
I'm sorry Charon, but this is your own fault.1. The book was added automatically by an import, not a person. Automatic imports aren't going to heed a rant on your author profile.
2. Books that already exist correctly on GR are not added again. But import bots are not people and the only way they can tell they are adding a duplicate is because either the ASIN or the ISBN already exists.
3. The version you added has a partial ISBN 13 in the ASIN field (it is not an ASIN) which is incorrect. I looked at some of your other books, and you have added a partial ISBN13 in the ISBN10 fields, which means it's truncated and invalid. Which is to say, several of the editions of various books you have added will end up with duplicates because they weren't valid in the first place.
4. GR has clear policies and you agreed to them when you joined the site. One of them is not to vandalise the database, and that repeatedly doing so will result in you losing your GR author status and the ability to edit your books at all, FYI. You probably don't want to do that, it would be cutting your nose off to spite your face.
5. If you would calm down, and weren't being rude, all the entries (including the invalid ones) would likely be fixed up in no time. No reviews or shelvings would be lost, and there would be only one edition per real valid edition published (or at least with an ISBN assigned.) That's if any volunteer librarians are still willing to work with you at all.

I even went so far as to remove the title, description, etc because some nut-job made this book without even bothering to ask me and please delete it as I can't I wish I could but I can't and it just annoys me that some one had the ordacity to do this.
