I think it was a Canadian book award nominee or something. YA.
I read it after 2010 and before 2015.
I think the cover had a girl with her hair flying around, obscuring her face.
There's zombies in it and the girl, the protagonist, hides out in a school with some other people.
I remember the ending being sort of open-ended with someone driving away.
