I'm happy I read the first comment on Eleanor Roosevelt and this is my story. She could have been a writer. She brought up that her mother was indifferent to her and made her feel bad for her looks.I'm definitely getting this book but I could do without the abusive mother.my mom was like that with my younger sister and survivors guilt I is a bitch. But I'll have to be tough and know she got threw it.I love her quote that no one can find. But I never really gave her much thought until I watched a pbs special about the four story duplex mansion that Hunter college bought. But I thought she was rather attractive in her young years.unless it was the coloring of the film.My wonder is,I know that Mrs Roosevelt the mother in law ran both houses and I wonder if she became a mother figure to her but in the sense that made her stronger.Because the mother was a strong personality.I'm so happy she came out on top in spite of her mother. When I saw the movie with Cynthia Nixon I don't like her so I didn't pay much attention to her.But the guy who played the president is cute so I watched it.I still don't know what so many people saw in him,I'll have to read up.But what gets me is when he cheated on her,the that catapulted her into doing more.I bet she never dreamed she'd become her own woman. She took good care of those Hunter college girls. It's nice to have someone who made it regardless of her mom and cheating husband. Now when I think back to the videos of her speaking to the country when her husband was sick.I find this woman a true inspiration and can't wait to order my copy. However all the stuff that happened to her made her strong enough to face a nation and stand by that man! He was the blessed one.
