Alexa (AlexaNC) August's non-fiction selection is Headstrong: 52 Women Who Changed Science-and the World by Rachel Swaby. This series of essays looks quite interesting! Who will be joining us with this?

Kay | 72 comments I started reading this a couple of days ago and I love that the first story was about Mary Jacobi disputing the "argument" that it is medically harmful for women to both study and have babies :) I am definitely going to look more in depth into some of these scientists once I am done with this book.

Anita (anitafajitapitareada) I read this a few, or couple, of months ago. I really liked it, and pinned it as a book I need to own. It's definitely a great reference book for any library and it's a total gateway book for more reading about awesomely brainy ladies.

Alexa (AlexaNC) I love that - a gateway book! Who knows what we might be inveigled into?!
