Smitha (embeddedinbooks) | 2936 comments We decided to form a (hopefully) lifelong reading bond.. and share our "pichle din ke kriya karam" here.
Myself, Jaya and........
The other devi is yet to agree, so her name is a suspense.
If she disagrees, the title will be appropriately renamed to

Betty and Veronica... or something similar... or Do Kaliyan ... or... kuch bhi....

message 30: by Indrani (new)

Indrani Sen (iniya_books) Hiiiii.... happy lady waves to all....

message 31: by Smitha (new)

Smitha (embeddedinbooks) | 2936 comments the third devi, Indrani, finally has appeared.

meanwhile, this deck has found that she has squandered the whole of Sunday flitting from one cyberspace to another, and the house on Monday morning remains as shoddy as it was on Sat eve. So she shall monitor her time and use it more judiciously.

yesterdays reading updates:

war and peace- forgot
alarmist - one chapter
summer knight - 15%
hungry tide - 15%

message 32: by Em Lost In Books (new)

Em Lost In Books (emlostinbooks) summer knight 15% and no questions yet?? o.O

message 33: by Smitha (new)

message 35: by Jaya (new)

Jaya So I have some 10 odd books on my current reading shelf as of now. Am going to list only the ones as and when am reading them.
The Thirteenth Tale- 30%
Before they are Hanged- 20%
Anne of Green Gables (audio book) around 65%
The Alienist- 56%
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child- 25%

Going to start
Tigana (in a short while) & The Hungry Tide (sometime today)

message 36: by Indrani (last edited Aug 01, 2016 08:42PM) (new)

Indrani Sen (iniya_books) I need to switch on notifications for this group.

The Spiral Path - 100% (a very enjoyable romance)
The Picture of Dorian Gray - 100% - finished using up some of my short-in-supply willpower. will review shortly.

Neverwhere - 8% (just started as had some time in the night after Dorian. Contrary to expectations finding this nice so far)

When the River Sleeps - didnt get around to
Seriously... I'm Kidding - at around 30% - the humor is paling a bit. But would finish, as this book would count for 2 in my popsugar challenge

I am thinking of finishing most of these before picking up anything new. Though that's unlikely to happen. :)

Anne of Green Gables is such a sweet story.. :) I had loved it... I tried reading the series once.. After two books or so, things didn't seem that delightful any more.. :)

honestly, i dont think i would have stuck with the book, had i been reading it. The elaborate descriptions are not my thing... so the the audio book is good enough. that too i listen to one or two chapters at a time.

message 39: by Jaya (new)

Jaya My updates
The Thirteenth Tale- 50%
Before they are Hanged- 22%
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child- 55%
The Hungry Tide-30/400 pages
Tigana- 2%

message 40: by Jaya (new)

Jaya What about Smitha? how does your (and your alter egos) reading progresses?

message 41: by Jaya (new)

Jaya @ Indrani: am glad that you like Spiral Path, i had fears of being boycotted for life by you and smitha ;P

message 42: by Jaya (new)

Jaya ohh and am amazed at myself. not a single romance on my current reading list O.O
