H.A. Kinani | 7 comments Hi everyone!

I apologize if this question has been addressed already.

My book just went up today. I'm super excited for it and so far I've had a great response from friends, family and social media. I've had a number of friends message me to let me know that they nominated my book, but when I go into the campaign page it still says 0 page views.

Does it only up date at the end of the night?

Sorry again, I tried to look this up but couldn't find anything on google or in the FAQ's.

By the way, here is the link if you are interested. https://kindlescout.amazon.com/p/25W1...

It is a steampunk Cinderella retelling for anyone interested :)

Ann Pratley (ann_m_pratley) Worry not, we all get caught out by it with the first book we put through!

Your stats will update at close to '5.15am EDT', and that will be for the entire 24 hours of the day before! So whatever is happening today, you will see reported at that time tomorrow ... don't panic! Everything is one day behind, and although we are used to everything on the internet updating in real time, the stats really will only update at that one moment each day.

If you forget the time it updates, have a look on your stats page and right at the top you will see the words 'last updated' and that will tell you the same time it updates each day... I have found that it generally is within 1-2 minutes of the same time each 24 hours.

:)

Ann

Can't wait to see how its going starting tomorrow. :D

Thanks Ann,

James Paddock (jameswriter) | 52 comments I checked your book out, Hana, and saved it for nomination later. Very interesting opening. We do hit the stats first thing each morning and then have to wait 24 more hours for the next update. 30 days is a long time. My book is down to its last 5 days, and then it's the long wait after that to find out if it'll be accepted, anywhere from a couple of days to 2 weeks. Doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to the system. Kindle Scout keeps quiet about it all so don't feel like you are the only one kept in the dark. Bottom line is your work has to be clean (error free) which in what I read it appears you have that. Promotion and marketing also is important . . . that's the hard work we all struggle at. It's tough pushing yourself around FB, Twitter, LinkIn, Goodreads, whatever, day after day, but it has to be done.

By-the-way, speaking of pushing, here is my link... https://kindlescout.amazon.com/p/3FX8...
Also, Ann may have missed the opportunity, so here is her link... https://kindlescout.amazon.com/p/4J52...

Good luck,
James

Kathy Golden | 127 comments You're welcome. You'll see a list on which books in KS are shared and everyone is asked to support those books on the last day.
