Tara Woods Turner | 2063 comments Pick any genre of fiction and write a few lines of text or dialogue. The catch? Try to cram in as many cliches, tropes and genre stereotypes as possible. Basically, the before in a before and after session with a writing coach lol.

Tara Woods Turner | 2063 comments Caleb stood on the weathered porch of his old, weathered, not new cabin looking out at the land and the grass and the trees. And a few bushes. He decided to think thoughts. His jaw rippling with concentration he concentrated on his plans for the winter. His determination to work the land and turn a profit for once consumed him like the heat of a thousand prairie suns. 'I'm tired of this' he said tiredly 'I will make a go of it for sure, this time.'

Besides the obvious literary merits, the piece contains clear enrichment ambition, therefore it might fit equally well into the 'enrichment' part -:)
