Good choice.

Final sample: He’s a jerk filled with sarcasm and the type of darkness that most children simply do not have.

BUT

He is the character that grew from being a soldier with only one purpose into a child who shoulders the burden of his father’s legacy and his father’s war. He is the character that went from drawing horrific pictures to pictures of Alfred drinking tea, Titus, and his grandparents’ graves. He is the character that learned what it means to truly live with a family—one that wasn’t perfect, wasn’t normal—but still a wonderful family scarred as it was.

Okay! Maple has completed house sorting training

Onto how to give wands to characters

message 55: by [deleted user] (new)

Yay!

This sounds a lot harder

message 56: by Astra , Pukwudgie head (new)

Astra (sayomina) | 746 comments Mod
It is. The first part is picking a wand wood

message 57: by [deleted user] (new)

mkay

message 58: by Astra , Pukwudgie head (new)

Astra (sayomina) | 746 comments Mod
When picking wand wood focus on finding a wood that fits the characters personality

message 59: by [deleted user] (new)

So like a sturdy wand for a confident person?

message 60: by Astra , Pukwudgie head (new)

Astra (sayomina) | 746 comments Mod
Wand wood: ash, aspen, elm, rowan, those

flexibility is something else

message 61: by [deleted user] (new)

what's flexibility?

message 62: by Astra , Pukwudgie head (new)

Astra (sayomina) | 746 comments Mod
Flexibility is how likely a wand is going to be willing to change owners.

Wand flexibility or rigidity denotes the degree of adaptability and willingness to change possessed by the wand-and-owner pair - although, again, this factor ought not to be considered separately from the wand wood, core and length, nor of the owner’s life experience and style of magic, all of which will combine to make the wand in question unique.

message 63: by Astra , Pukwudgie head (new)

Astra (sayomina) | 746 comments Mod
The more rigid the wand is the less adaptable it will be to a new owner, of course wand wood also plays a part in this

message 64: by [deleted user] (new)

ok

message 65: by [deleted user] (new)

how do you decide it?

message 66: by Astra , Pukwudgie head (new)

Astra (sayomina) | 746 comments Mod
For wand core try to not use the same core over and over, but also semi consider personality when choosing a core. Theastrel and Veela hair cores should only go to characters suitable for temperamental wands

Astra (sayomina) | 746 comments Mod
{Mapledream} I ask the questions no one else does wrote: "how do you decide it?"

Randomly mostly, also consider wand wood, If it's a wood that doesn't like to change possesion then make the wand rigid

message 68: by [deleted user] (new)

Ok. So the only thing that is based off personality is wood?

message 69: by Astra , Pukwudgie head (new)

Astra (sayomina) | 746 comments Mod
And length.

Most wands will be in the range of between nine and fourteen inches. While I have sold extremely short wands (eight inches and under) and very long wands (over fifteen inches), these are exceptionally rare. In the latter case, a physical peculiarity demanded the excessive wand length. However, abnormally short wands usually select those in whose character something is lacking, rather than because they are physically undersized (many small witches and wizards are chosen by longer wands).

The more character/personality a character has the longer the wand would be

Sample 1: Nadine is generally quiet, even through this though she can be very kind and a happy person but a lot of things restrict her from being happy on the inside even if she is acting happy. She is depressed.

message 74: by [deleted user] (last edited Jul 27, 2016 03:02PM) (new)

elm wood, 10.5" semi flexible Thestral tail hair core

I'm unsure with all of that, but...

sample 1: Few know the true Aiden Baxter, but at the very least he's loyal and incisive. Of course he's also contemplative, orderly and gracious, but these are in a way balance by being brutal as well.
His loyalty though, this is what he's kind of cherished for. Friends frequently count on this and his humbleness whenever they need assistance or help.

Nobody's perfect of course and Aiden has rotten moods and days too. His aggression and disconcerting nature sour the mood many a time on often personal levels.
Fortunately his incisive nature shines brighter on most days.

So
-loyal
-incisive
-contemplative
-orderly
-gracious
-brutal(can be)
-humble
-helpful?
-can be sour and agressive

He could go a few ways but it resembles to me the most Pukwudgie?
