Hannah | 37 comments Brownstein describes herself as a loud, outgoing child, but rather a shy teenager, and throughout her writing there seems to be a tension between extroverted behavior and a strongly introverted mind.

I was a "ham" as a child, and grew into a rather serious, guarded adult. I'm wondering if a personality shift between childhood and adolescence is particularly common? If so, what might be the cause? What causes someone to change their essential way of behaving in the absence of a serious shift in beliefs?

Hi Hannah, there is already a post on this topic here where I think these issues are being discussed or can be discussed: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Please be sure to do a quick search using the bar to the right of the discussion board before posting to check if there is already a thread for that topic.
