Monica Kelly | 5 comments I'm looking for suggestions for Book Club books that will suit both males and females. It's very difficult to find books that both will enjoy.
Examples of our current books are:
Girl on the Train, Gallipoli Street, Narrow Road to the Deep North, Power of One, Thorn Birds, The Last Pulse, Daughter of the Territory.
Thank you.

Sarah | 18222 comments I'd also add any of the Gillian Flynn books. Stephen King and Joe Hill also spring to mind. All generate great discussion.

Joan Bel Canto by Anne Patchet appealed to a wide audience when it came out.

Thank you... Bel Canto is too old though - 2005 .

I need to keep the books within two years old.
Even though we do have some old ones like 'Thorn Birds' - they were sent to us from the supplier.
