Phuong Mayer I know Gothic can be interpreted a number of ways. I'm not quite looking for pure horror, but more like stories where the setting or atmosphere really come alive almost as a character itself, and the plot includes some spooky mystery and romance. Can anyone recommend any good ones?

Amanda | 254 comments I haven't read this yet. But I've heard Mrs. Perigines Home for Peculiar Children has discrete elements of horror.
