That says a lot for it if you are willing to read it again!

Pallavi (bookfetisher) Yes! thats a good book.
Even The Glass Castle: A Memoir by Jeannette Walls is also a good one.

Debbie (debbiegray) | 29 comments Every so often I like to read a non-fiction. I read First Women: The Grace and Power of America's Modern First Ladies byKate Andersen Brower several weeks ago. It was so interesting and started with Jackie Kennedy and came up through Michelle Obama.
Kate Andersen Brower has also written The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House which is on my read list.

I have heard almost nothing but positive reviews for The Book Thief. I have a copy. I started it a few years ago but my attention strayed. I cheated and watched the movie, which I loved. I plan to start it again at some point. Maybe if we choose it for book group?

message 12: by Kelsey (new)

Kelsey I've wanted to read The Book Thief, The Glass Castle, and Sarah's Key for quite some time. Glad to see these on a potential reading list!

Happy Friday, Snails! I'm going to post a fiction poll tonight to get feedback on some titles. I'm going to include The Book Thief! I won't be annoying you all anymore with poll invites; I hope you're checking in often so you don't miss the voting!

Hey Snails! Polls closed today and the majority (8 votes) voted for "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak! You'll have plenty of time to round up a copy if you don't already have one. We'll be reading it slowly for the next few months.
