OKAY. I have not read The One yet, SO NO SPOILERS. But, is there anyone that ships him with America, and why?
I think maxon has been there for America, even when Aspen shows up, and she wants to take things slow. GO TEAM MAXON!!!
I like Maxon better than Aspen. As everyone here as i see.I have to admit strongly that he isn't that good for America. Sorry Aspen!!Bye Bye!!

I read the One, so I'm going to try not to spoil what happens. Though, I have to express that I almost fell into shock. I do like Maxon better than Aspen, though.
I ship both aspen & America and Maxon & America. but to be honest, Aspen and America
ps I did not read The One either, yet

Every time she kissed him I cringed and got soo angry. America really made me hate her in this book. Nobody likes aspen.
I'd have to agree with most you because I can't ever ship Aspen and America. I mean, it all was Aspen who encouraged America to try it out and he said he wouldn't mind what would happen if she did go. So he needs to realize what HIS actions have done and changed and he need to just to let her go. Clearly, it's Maxon and America that are meant to be. #TEAMMAXON
I ship him and America. I read the guard, and that changed my mind, and also the Elite. Aspen is just a good guy and I felt bad for him. America so obviously liked Maxon more and she was just playing with aspen. I also felt like, her life would be simpler with Aspen NO THRONE. I think Apsen loved her, he tuley did and would do anything for her so.... But my opinion changed in the one
I really don't want Aspen for America anymore. It seems as if he only wants her because she has eyes for someone better than himself - Maxon. Wasn't he the one that broke America's heart? Didn't Aspen say he'd feel guilty if America wouldn't go and put herself up for the Selection? He should just let go and realize that this is where fate has lead their relationship and America was meant for the Selection - she was meant for Maxon.
When i was reading all of the books i was just thinking: ASPEN JUST DIE IN A REBEL ATTACK, NO ONE LIKES YOU!!!! Maxon doesn't even know you and he wants so practicly kill you! When he didn't die is started screaming.
I think that America deserves Maxon, because he will be able to help her and her family and treat her right. Also, Aspen really hurt her, and is being confusing. he made her sign up so she could have a chance, and now that she does, he just wants her back. so decide aspen, do you want her to try or not.
I don't like Aspen after what he did to America. He only wants to go out with her now because she is going to win and he knows it.
Did you read The Guard though at least? i think that you get a decent glimpse into who Aspen is in his little novella and it makes you want him to be happy - even though i'm not really in the 'Aspen/America' camp.
what gets me is that Aspen knows what he did is because of Pride and he wants America to still love him, yet be the girl/woman that she can be. i don't know if that's something that can really happen - since she's seen a lot more than what she was taught back home.
I feel like there could be people better for Aspen in the long run. To play devil's advocate though - all of the books in this genre tend to put the girl with the new guy v. the 'safe' one from back home. it would be nice to learn that maybe Aspen isn't really as safe as we think....given that in this 2nd installment, i'm still convinced that he's part of the rebels. that makes him very un-safe.
