This challenge will run between very specific dates: July 3-August 11. Considered a period of the hottest summer temperatures. There are some interesting historical details which can be read via the address below...

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog_Days

This is a one book challenge. Read a book with the hottest title you can find. ;-)
Anything related to heat will do.

For example:

Heat Wave
Catching Fire
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
The Girl Who Played with Fire
Burning Bright
Daughter of Smoke & Bone
Love in the Time of Global Warming
Don't Sweat the Small Stuff ... and it's all small stuff: Simple Ways to Keep the Little Things from Taking Over Your Life

Cherie (crobins0) I am not joining this challenge, but I just had to say that your challenge made me go look at my book titles on my TBR list.
I found The Hot Flash Club and I started laughing out loud!

Karolyn | 112 comments I wasn't planning to do this Mini-Challenge, but sometimes a book just grabs you. I got hooked on the Millennium series and just finished The Girl Who Played with Fire. I finished it the other night and just got done with the 3rd one. Enjoyed them!

Nice job, Karolyn. Yeah, it's not humanly possible to put those books down once you've started.

message 16: by Clare (new)

Clare (-clare-) | 98 comments I've finished Fahrenheit 451 for this one.

Good one! What did you think of it?

message 18: by Sam F (last edited Jul 28, 2016 06:15PM) (new)

Sam F | 198 comments I just finished Blow Hot, Blow Cold by Ellery Queen. I had heard about this author(s) but had never read anything before. A very old school mystery writing style with glimpses of how women in the home/at work were perceived and treated. Never heard someone called a 'tootsie-puss' before. Hope I never will :)
