I'll start with Shallow read (1-2 books) - perhaps will bump it up to Superficial read (3-4 books) later. => Since I wasn't able to read a single book while on 'vacation' I was able to read only one of mine books :-( But at least I really loved it :-)

The Key to the Middle East Discovering the Future of Israel in Biblical Prophecy by Derek Prince 5* (7/24)

A Love and Beyond by Dan Sofer & Deceptive Cadence (The Virtuosic Spy, #1) by Kathryn Guare & The Escort The Complete Series by Harmony Raines if I can as well => I see no reason to try to read the first two in August. Since I was hoping to buy the box from birthday money and there were more urgent books before the gift card was empty - so this one has to wait until Christmas or a nice deal :-)

Elizabeth Thinks everyone, this is one challenge I do every month because with one I just pick books by their covers only.

I am always fascinated by what everyone picks for their covers. Each person has a different view of what is a "great cover". It's fun to see all the variety.

I have a shelf for Judge a book by it's cover - and I put all my books there. I'm supposed to then list them here and I haven't been good about that lately lol - but I think about it every time I shelf a book.

For me it's really hard since I often remember the content of the books even months or years after I bought them and when I was looking the last times I was never really sure did I really like the cover or was I still influenced by the the content ;-)

I have the same issue with quilt patterns -- i always have to look twice at magazine pictures to see if it's actually the PATTERN i like, or was I just enamored of the colors it was made in..... I find i'm as often turned off to a book by its cover as turned on, and I try to combat that by actually reading the description of the book before judging. But surprisingly often the description reveals it is also not something i'd choose to pick up regardless of the cover: there's a consistency there. And because there are some genres i have absolutely no interest in, covers can be useful for sorting those out without a further look...
