Hey guys, I'm hoping to finish Champion tonight, I have about 130 pages left!! Then onto the Name of the Wind, Lady Midnight and two books for my class. Phew that's a list!
Just got my review posted for Last Sacrifice! Finally finished the series :D Super excited to read Bloodlines!
Sorry to hear you're having a bad week Cheyenne. :( I've definitely had those too. Hopefully you'll have a better rest of the week!!
Hey Cheyenne how many books have you read this year? I'm looking into adjusted points just to see where we line up compared to other teams.
18 I just came out of a reading slump in May and been reading a little bit more every month.I'm hoping to get through a big chunk of The Well of Ascension today and then finish it tomorrow.
Awesome thanks! Reading slumps are the worst. So from my calculations, we are still ahead with adjusted points based on my approximations. I'm doing a little more research and will see if it alters the scores, but so far we are winning on both fronts!!
Maybe… But I still think it would be nice. Plus, teams were counting on certain members and then their members didn't appear. I don't know, I have mixed feelings on it. I'm really glad we are winning though.
I wasn't on the winning team last month and we only had four members posting when it came down to it. With the adjustment it didn't even help. It's just kind of hit or miss with some people for challenges. And sometimes unexpected things happen which can put a damper on things. I think someone is dropping out of team tiger snake since they haven't been reading free books.
There will probably be a couple dropouts by the end of the challenge. Potentially we could even lose a member though I hope not!
Jackie wrote: "What do you mean we could lose a member?"Danielle has still not posted any reviews. So as of now, we too are short. Even though we are in the lead.
I really hope there are no adjusted points /: That's what happened to my team last month and we ended up coming in second because of it. And we worked so hard to be ahead on this team!! We're all doing awesome (:
Yeah, but I don't think losing her would make that much of a difference either way right now since we're ahead anyway. Adjusted points would account for her loss if that were to happen. Either way, we're all doing great. I have about 14 reviews to post. I'm going to start posting them tomorrow so I don't overwhelm the mods.

I am in a bit of a slow pace right now. I was out in the sun with no sunglasses all weekend so my eyes still feel strained from squinting and I have a headache I have yet to break since Sunday. So hoping I get manage a good push on myself next week and catch up on Buddy Reads.
Ugh, headaches are the worst. And yeah, I've been recovering from last month's surgery so I've had a lot of time to read. Plus, I want to read as much as possible before school starts.
Jackie- Last month when they did adjusted points they eliminated people from medium team who didn't score more than 8 points. Right now the only two in our group with less than 8 points are Danielle and Siobhan. Siobhan only needs one more point so I'm not worried :)
Courtney wrote: "Sorry guys I have found myself in a bit of a reading slump :( I am trying to kick it though."Maybe try taking two or three days off reading. Or try a different format like an audiobook. I think you're safe points wise so good luck!
Just wanted to remind you guys about the Lady Midnight BR if you're still up for it! I'm hoping to start tonight! :D
I probably won't get a ton of reading done today :P Were rearranging the apartment so it's been kinda crazy!
I am about 50% through
and 20% into
. Should be able to at least finish those hopefully read 1 or 2 others depending how the next few days go.
Hey all! I'm still chugging through
&
. Also decided to start
today. Should have all of these done by Thursday/Friday hopefully!
I've been so busy these last few days and haven't been reading much ): but I'll be reading a bunch again starting tomorrow! Should have a review up sometime tomorrow afternoon
Just got another review up. I am about 45% through
so should have that one up at least. And hopefully at least 1 more quick one. Jackie, how are those reviews coming along?
How is everyone else doing?
I meant to get my review for Poison study up last night but I was way too exhausted. It will definitely be up today! I'm going to finish the name of the wind and then review that hopefully today. It's a 6 point one! :D Tomorrow I'm going to try to finish Lady MIdnight and the day after Demorn: City of Innocents. If I can do all of these that should be like 18 points.
Ugh! This heat is kicking my butt this weak. Even reading seems exhausting in the triple digits!! I will be so glad when I get to go to Colorado next week for a visit. 20-25 degrees cooler!!

I usually leave my apartment around 9am so it's not hot and I wear pants, but then I leave work around 2pm and it's always scorching!! It's the worst. I hope you have a good time in Colorado, I've always wanted to go there!!
I posted my review for Well of Ascension not too long ago. I'm jumping into The Hero of Ages and An Ember in the Ashes tomorrow.

Also, I know that there's a 464 page version so you don't have to look for it unless you want too :)
