Danii (itsdanii) | 985 comments So I only have less then a quarter left in my book, I probably won't finish it until tomorrow morning but then I'll do my buddy read updates for it and then a review :D I'm probably going to bed soon, not feeling too well. Doctor just started me on some new medication and my body will take a month to get used to it so I'm having all of the side effects and it's terrible D:

message 202: by Danii (new)

Danii (itsdanii) | 985 comments Also, I have a feeling we're going to win. (: First day and were already at 4 points, that's amazing! And by tomorrow I'm sure we'll have even more reviews in. We really are starting off strong! Now let's hope for no point adjustments and we got this :D GO TEAM RATTLESNAKE!

message 203: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments Side effects are the worst! What kind of medication are you taking? Yes team rattlesnake is gonna win! I started CoHF will read more tomorrow as well as start the glass castle. Will probably finish the glass castle this weekend.

message 204: by Danii (new)

Danii (itsdanii) | 985 comments He put me on Zoloft today for my anxiety ): apparently it's so bad that I'm tricking myself into physical symptoms. Guess that's what I get for not taking medication until now :b I'm so proud of our team!

message 205: by Danii (new)

Danii (itsdanii) | 985 comments Let me know how CoHF is, that's the only one I haven't gotten to in that series (:

Hope the medication helps but if the side effects are too much mention trying alprazolam for anxiety. I was on zoloft and if just messed me up but the alprazolam (aka xanax) works so much better I only take it as needed, takes effect within minutes and I have had zero side effects. Plus it is a much cheaper medication. :)

Courtney | 16230 comments So I am in Arizona for my birthday and the power just went out :(

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments Courtney wrote: "So I am in Arizona for my birthday and the power just went out :("

Oh no! That's terrible. My house in Chicago usually looses power once a summer from huge storms so I'm glad I'm not there now. Hope it comes back on soon!

Ugh I wish I was in a psychopharmacology class because then I'd probably know more about Zoloft. We talked about some medication in my biochem class, but not that one :/ And so far CoHF is good, but I hardly remember what happened in CoLS!

message 210: by Danii (new)

Danii (itsdanii) | 985 comments Jamie, that's what they had me on a couple years ago! I remember it worked great, but I guess now my anxiety is so constant that I'm basically in a panic attack/paranoid 24/7, it's turned into full blown paranoia ):
Courtney: Aw, I'm sorry love! Happy birthday though! <3 I hope you got to do some fun things even if the power went out!
Andrea: I've heard so many things about Zoloft though, from side effects to withdrawal getting off of it so I'm hoping it's not too bad D:

message 211: by Danii (new)

Danii (itsdanii) | 985 comments I don't really remember anything from that one either! I think I would probably have to read them both if I ever read CoHF xD but guys were winning yay!

Thank you! The power was back on when I woke up. Then Sunday is my birthday (my family wanted to celebrate all weekend) so I should get some reading in.

message 214: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments Happy early Birthday Courtney!! I hope you enjoy Arizona despite the power outages.

Steadily getting through the glass castle. Will probably pause to work on Cod and CoHF. So many books so little time.

message 215: by Danii (new)

Danii (itsdanii) | 985 comments This medication is making me so lazy holy crap. I don't even wanna move!

Thank you :) I am hoping to start CoHF today.

message 217: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments Awesome! I got through the prologue & chapter 1 so far.

Danii you should try an audiobook and then you don't have to move!

message 218: by Danii (new)

Danii (itsdanii) | 985 comments THATS A GREAT IDEA! I didn't even think of that, thank you for the idea :D I'm so close to finishing The Glittering Court but I keep going from like feeling great, to getting dizzy, to super anxious every hour it changes ugh

message 219: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments Reading The Lake House, which is a BR and is 678 pages.

message 220: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments That sounds really rough Danii. I am definitely riding the anxiety train at the moment because one of my classes is ending and we have like six assignments for this week and I have no idea how I'll finish them all. Looks like it will be less sleep for me this week.

message 221: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments Hope you're enjoying your book Jackie! When you submit your review make sure you look through all the editions there might be one over 750 pages so more bonus points! :)

message 222: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments I did; that is the highest edition. No worries, I always look; I am usually the one who looks/reminds others, haha.

message 223: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments Awesome! We'll definitely be getting all points possible for this challenge then!

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments I'm currently at lost what to read next my public library was closed today meaning I couldn't any books :(. I have plenty of review copies to read thought just picking one is hard.

message 225: by Dr. Andy (last edited Jul 02, 2016 07:55PM) (new)

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments I know that feeling well Cheyenne! I always have way too many books out from the library and I never know which one to read first. I have to read five chapters of cod :( but depending on how long that takes I might read more of the glass castle or CoHF.

message 226: by Danii (new)

Danii (itsdanii) | 985 comments I have 3% left of The Glittering Report, so I'll have a review up in the next hour! It's 50 pages away from being 450, even with the highest edition D:

message 227: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments I found an audiobook of CoHF from audible using the free trial! YES, I'm so happy now that I can listen to it on my way to Wisconsin tomorrow. Going to call it a night soon after reading some of the glass castle.
