Jamie | 12276 comments Bloodlines is good but very different pacing in terms of action.

If you liked Throne of Glass, you'll probably like Vampire Academy. Celaena and Rose are both pretty hot headed and inclined to stab first ask questions later.

Siobhan Quinlan | 2096 comments im going to be away from the 2nd of july till the 9th i will be reading but i dont think i will have internet to post reviews

message 57: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments No Worries! And thanks for telling us in advance. :)

message 58: by Danii (new)

Danii (itsdanii) | 985 comments I'll probably be camping for the 4th of July so I won't have my laptop to post reviews and stuff too, but I'll definitely be reading!

message 59: by Siobhan (new)

Siobhan Quinlan | 2096 comments im hoping there is internet but we are going to the middle of nowhere in the uk. i have a suitcase of library books and books that were gifts so loads of reading without distractions

message 60: by Siobhan (new)

Siobhan Quinlan | 2096 comments @Jamie i can join you for winter

Jamie | 12276 comments siobhan wrote: "@Jamie i can join you for winter"
Great! Any particular day you want to start it?

message 62: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments Camping is the perfect time to read! I have to drive about three/four hours this weekend to see my family and I was hoping to get an audiobook.

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments I just thought to let you guys know I won't be posting any reviews July 6th - July 18th. I will be reading, though. I'm going on vacation.

message 64: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments Thanks for telling us! There were a couple on my last team who posted one review and then haven't said or posted anything since.

Jamie | 12276 comments Andrea wrote: "Thanks for telling us! There were a couple on my last team who posted one review and then haven't said or posted anything since."

Yes, most frustrating.

So indeed thanks for the heads up!

message 66: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments Jamie- I can't believe our last team is down to four people!! This is crazy :O

message 67: by Danii (new)

Danii (itsdanii) | 985 comments Woah what happened?! Our team lost someone during the adjustments too ):

message 68: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments Cheyenne- you might want to let one or both of the mods know that as well so they don't accidentally kick you off. There were a lot of people who weren't submitting reviews this month and so they did that.

message 69: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments Danii wrote: "Woah what happened?! Our team lost someone during the adjustments too ):"

Not really sure. One girl went away to dance camp and never posted a review. And the other two only posted one review each I think. So yeah our team has gotten pretty small!

message 70: by Danii (new)

Danii (itsdanii) | 985 comments Yeah that's crazy! Was it serious, medium, or fun? I can't believe it went down in members that much o:

message 71: by Siobhan (new)

Siobhan Quinlan | 2096 comments Jamie wrote: "siobhan wrote: "@Jamie i can join you for winter"

Whenever you can :) I have no buddy reads set up

message 72: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments Medium! I can't believe my team is beating a couple serious teams though, that's also crazy! I wonder if final scores will be based off adjusted points or actual points?

message 73: by Danii (new)

Danii (itsdanii) | 985 comments Andrea that's what team leopard is trying to figure out! I'm so confused on the adjusted points o.o

message 74: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12276 comments I don't really get it either. The algorithms seems off since it includes all books we have read but we can't use all books in challenges (graphic novels, children's books, short novellas, books read between months, etc). I only mentioned it because nearly 1/2 our team wasn't playing. Honestly, seeming comping the team up the the minimum points for readers who quit would be easy (So a medium team would get 8 points for each reader lost). I do not get adjusting everyone else's points as we all have strong or weaker months but oh well, Whatever works I guess. Too much work for me to try to understand the details of it.

message 75: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments When they were going to adjust, I figured the order of team rankings wouldn't be changed, but since we had so many less people, I thought we'd end up closer to the other medium teams point wise. That didn't seem to happen, but oh well. This challenge helped me read more and get my reviews done which I needed!

message 76: by Danii (new)

Danii (itsdanii) | 985 comments Yeah I figured they'd add more points per member that was taken off the team, I feel like that would make a lot more sense. What I'm trying to figure out is how a team with 150 points before the adjustment is beating a team that had 200 points before, by literally 200 points... I just don't understand it at all

message 77: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12276 comments That is what I thought as well. Maybe get us closer. Not really... So I am just shrugging it off and still reading what I can. :)

message 78: by Danii (new)

Danii (itsdanii) | 985 comments Don't worry guys, we'll do great for July (: We got this! Go Team Rattlesnake!

message 79: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments I have no idea! But same here Jamie, I'm just reading as much as I can. And I think Team Rattlesnake is going to take down everyone!!!

message 80: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 16230 comments Haha I agree, but feel like I shouldnt say anything. My mouth will get me in trouble. Although I wish I knew how they did the adjusted points so we can prepare for it if it happens next month as well.

i can do the bad begining i just got it from the library

message 95: by Danii (new)

Danii (itsdanii) | 985 comments I'm trying to decide whether or not reading A Clash Of Kings would be a good idea.. It's so long, I don't even think it would be worth it xD But I want to read the book!

message 96: by Siobhan (last edited Jun 29, 2016 10:34AM) (new)

Siobhan Quinlan | 2096 comments read it :) just dont eat or sleep and you will be finished before you know it lol

message 97: by Danii (new)

Danii (itsdanii) | 985 comments Sarah sent me the math for the adjusted points: I don't think you can catch up at this point. Your team read 365 books so far this year between you, so your points score is divided by that number.

points/365 = number
number x 1000 = adjusted points

adjusted points / 1000 = number
number x 365 = points
0.65217 x 365 = 238 points

Ignore the first part, that's just about Team Leopard, but it uses all the books each member has read for the year. So now we'll know if it happens again this month

message 98: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 16230 comments Well if it happens this month we are also screwd bexause half of team Leopars is on this team :p Whatever. I am just going to do th challanges to read amazing books and discuss it with amazing people. I just have to get the competivness out of me (mainly towarda the end) Haha

message 99: by Danii (new)

Danii (itsdanii) | 985 comments Lmao same here :b once I get back from the store I'm going to post some books that I'm thinking of reading and seeing if anyone would want to do a buddy read. So far I have 6 buddy reads, and 5 possible reads!
