Midway through the month I am getting caught up!

We did have a poll for Tanzania, which we will visit in July and August. The poll winner was Desertion. It will be my first book by Abdulrazak Gurnah, so that is exciting.

It is still June, which means we are still in Swaziland and our discussion for When Hoopoes Go to Heaven is still current and ongoing. This book seemed to be a hit or miss for participants but the thread shows that members are learning a lot about Swaziland, so do join in if you haven't already!

In Kenya, our June featured author is Wangari Maathai. My apologies for setting the thread up so late, but here it finally is. Also in Kenya, I'd like to try doing a group nonfiction read, so stay tuned for a poll!

My new book, Saving Wild, has interviews of 50 Leading Conservationists, many of them working all over Africa to save wildlife.
