Heroines in law enforcement (must be romantic suspense)

I am looking for romantic suspense novels with heroines in law enforcement. The heroine could be an fbi, cia or any other special law enforcement agent. She could be a sheriff, a profiler even a psychic. Its a bonus if the hero and heroine are partnered together to work on a case. You get the drift.

Abandon is part of a series with a heroine who is a U. S. Marshall. It's been a long time since I've read it, but there is a love interest on the case who is an FBI agent.

You might like the Nikki Heat series. It's written really well by Dan Brown under the alias of Richard Castle, whose name you may know from the tv show "Castle." Whether you've seen the show or not doesn't matter, the books are great fun to read all by themselves, telling the story of NYPD Homicide Detective Nikki Heat and her ride-along, journalist Jameson Rook. The first book is Heat Wave.
