Childhood:
Addison does not know who her parents are. She and her twin brother, Charles, were abandoned as a child and an old woman found them and adopted her. Addie's adopted mother died when she was 12, leaving her and her brother to fend for themselves. They began to make music together in order to make money. She was found by a wealthy man who told her that he would give her room and board if they would sing to him every night. She agreed. While living with him, he started to get a little too close for comfort. He started inappropriately touching her and she could not say no, or she would lose her home. One night, he raped her and Addison became pregnant with his child. Charles was outraged when he found out. Addison believed that he had fallen in love with her and wanted him to care for the baby as his father. Charles knew that this was not the case and made them run away from the man's house. Addie knew that she would be looked down upon if she was a teenage mother, so she passed the baby off as her brothers.
