Sarah Russell (gooodreadscomsarah_russell) My flash "At the Bar" was published today in Dialogual. Take a look. It's a fun challenge for us flash folks -- and good practice for writing dialogue! http://dialogual.wix.com/dialogual#!d...

Pamelyn (pamelyncasto) | 6 comments Congrsts, Sarah. You might also consider sending a blurb about your flash lit publishing success to me for the monthly online (free) newsletter I send out:

The Flash Fiction Flash http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FlashFi...

I have to be sure I have your permission to spread the word so always send me a blurb (any of you who've recently published flash lit) to Label it: Flash News so I don't miss it. I just sent out a new issue but would be glad to use your news in the next one. So please do send it to me.

Sarah Russell (gooodreadscomsarah_russell) Hi Pamelyn,

I just joined your group, and would love to have you "advertise" my recent publication. Hope I can join the workshop this summer. When you spoke about a "blurb," do you mean other pieces I've had published as well as this one?

Congrats Marc, and first this should probably be in a separate thread of your own.

Second, call me old fashioned, but I took a look at your story and was immediately turned off by the style/formatting. Sorry.

No problem, it's not for everyone. And apologies for crashing this thread, I thought it was for anyone who got a story published

If you'd like to send work in to us at Cafe Aphra, we'd be pleased to read it too. We also post up news of our contributors' successes with publishing. Our blog is at: http://cafeaphrapilot.blogspot.co.uk/
Check it out!
Best wishes, Sara

I think 'At the Bar' is great! It really gave me some good laughs and forced me to reconsider my egg preferences.

Sarah Russell (gooodreadscomsarah_russell) I was deep in writer's block, and tried the old trick of opening a book and pointing and making it the first line of a story. "How do you like your eggs?" was the line that came up. When I went back finally to read the story, it was about a despondent guy who went to a diner. Glad it gave you a laugh!
