Nickole Castillo | 39 comments Judy Blume is a great author! I love her books! I remember reading Freckle Juice when I was in elementary school and thinking that Andrew was weird. I thought that the freckle juice sounded really gross and I would never try that if my friends offered it to me. I love how well this book relates to 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. They are all trying to fit it with their friends and will do just about anything to be "cool" with their friends. I am glad I reread this book! (: I plan to have this book in my classroom library!

Freckle Juice has been around for a long time, and is still popular with elementary students. I agree Nickole, the freckle juice is gross! No wonder he got sick! Just goes to show the power of "wanting to fit in". I especially like the teacher in the story. I really appreciate how she helps Andrew.
