Kristopher Triana | 5 comments In my effort to add myself to the author's list on Year's Best Hardcore Horror by Comet Press, I accidentally added two new blank editions. Could these two be removed? Here is the link to my books

Here is the book I was trying to add my name to:

Kristopher Triana | 5 comments Hello Again,

I was wondering if two things could be changed. When my author profile is pulled up, the browser window menu reads: "Goodreads / Kristopher Triana ( of D.O.A. II - Extreme Horror Collection)". I contributed to that book, but would rather the browser heading refer to one of my novels. Could it say "Goodreads / Kristopher Triana, author of The Ruin Season" instead?

Also, for my book Growing Dark, the editor Thomas Mumme is listed as an author. I am the only author of the book. Link is here:

Sandra | 23247 comments Not sure what browser window menu you're talking about. Is it on your dashboard? If so, you are the only one to see it.

As to the Growing Dark book, he is listed as the editor, not the author. Generally we don't include Editors in fiction books unless we don't have an author name or its an anthology. As all the short stories are yours we can remove him.

Kristopher Triana | 5 comments Thank you for clearing up the book. The browser menu issue has to do with whatever server I'm using (safari, google, etc.). So it's not on the page, but the server's frame of the page. When the window opens for any author it lists one reference of what they're the author of.

Sandra | 23247 comments So it is dependent on what you are using. Librarians have no control over such things, we can only edit specific books & lists etc.

You could contact support and see if they can offer any remedies.

☕ Lachgas ♿ (lachgas) | 6177 comments He means the top of the browser (in FF the part where you can see the Fox, there's a name of the site you're using shown... atm it says Goodreads librarian group - book issues ... - mozilla firefox) but I really don't now how GR works in that point :/
(perhaps it's the most shelved book shown there?)
but: definetly nothing librarians could help

message 9: by Sandra (new)

Sandra | 23247 comments Well, I use firefox and I haven't got anything like that, so still no clue what you're both talking about.

I've got the https address of the thread I'm on & I don't even see the fox.

Melanie (mvalente89) | 1760 comments If you hover over the tab you're on, it will show the complete name of that page.

As to which book it lists, that is not something librarians can fix.

Sandra | 23247 comments OK, I get it now. And definitely nothing librarians can do. At least I was right about that. LOL.
