This summer, our Summer Reading Program is "Exercise Your Mind. READ"! What a better way to exercise your mind than to pick up a book about an athlete. Get ready for the Summer Olympics by reading up on past Olympians such as Jesse Owens or Maryland's own Michael Phelps. Or check out some of today's top baseball, football, or basketball stars.

Tell us about your favorite sports biography, or if you don't have one, who would you like to read about?

Mallory | 44 comments For this challenge, I read Impact Player by Bobby Richardson. Richardson played for the New York Yankees from 1955-1966, amongst some of the greatest players to ever don pinstripes. He gives insight into the lives of major league ballplayers during those days and expounds on his faith and how the way he lived impacted those around him. Fun fact: Richardson is the only player from a losing team to be named World Series MVP. I really enjoyed this book and this challenge!
