This challenge begins June 20 and continues through to Aug 22. You can read as many books as you want as long as they tie into one of these topics/

6. School's out- read a book about kids and their summer vacation antics

Fish In A Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt - a loose interpretation here, but in this book a teacher helps a young girl "break free" from her learning disability by figuring out she's dyslexic and giving her the help she needs to be a successful reader.

2. Make Someone Smile Week- Read a book that makes you smile - Fuddles by Frans Vischer - a cute book about a very spoiled fat cat.

6. School's out- read a book about kids and their summer vacation antics - Fablehaven (Fablehaven, #1) by Brandon Mull - Two kids have to stay with their grandparents for a few weeks while their parents go on a cruise. Little did they know their grandparents are caretakers at a nature reserve for magical creatures. Sunny Side Up by Jennifer L. Holm Another book for this category. Sunshine is sent to Florida for the summer to stay with her grandfather.

7. Camping - read a book where the characters camp out or go to summer camp. Eggs by Jerry Spinelli The main characters camp out overnight. Roller Girl by Victoria Jamieson - the girl goes to roller derby camp.

8. Book with this on cover: picnic, fireworks, a hot person on the cover, swimsuit, swimming, lake or beach, sun, tents, soldier, someone working,

Sleds on Boston Common A Story from the American Revolution by Louise Borden - has a boy talking to a soldier on the cover

I thought about using this for #1, but I think I can easily find another book for that one.
