Halvor (Raknes) | 4772 comments I've made a couple of attempts at importing books that weren't already in the Goodreads database. I found a web page containing the relevant information and submitted them. Then it told me to "check the import page to check the progress of your imports."

Well, the import page gives no indication that my import requests have even been received!

One is this one:
http://www.nb.no/nbsok/nb/40ed1fe4035...

Another is this:
http://www.norli.no/webapp/wcs/stores...

I also wonder when I can use the import function and when I have to add everything manually! It seems the latter is the preferred way. Why?

lethe | 13673 comments This is not a question for the Librarians Group, but you could try the Feedback Group or support (at) goodreads (dot) com

(Is it even possible to import from library sites??)

Halvor (Raknes) | 4772 comments OK, I'm still unsure how things work. I'll try either of those two groups.

I would have thought that importing new titles was a librarian topic though…

It would be, if that were what that feature does. That import process is not for adding books to the database; it is for adding books already in the database to your personal shelves.
