Jan Notzon | 9 comments Title: The Dogs...Barking
Author: Jan Notzon
ISBN: 9781465394101
Publisher: Xlibris
Date: 2011
Format: Paperback, Hardback, Electronic
Description: The Dogs...Barking is the gripping coming-of-age story of Jason Kelly: his childhood in a sleepy backwater Mexican border town in Texas, and his battle with the demons his upbringing instills in him.
As he grows into a man, he must first navigate the wild-eyed temptations of university life in the '60s. Then, his odyssey takes him to the raw power of New York City as he pursues an acting career he hopes will soothe those fiends.
To his astonishment, he finds the answer in the home he had abandoned and the lonely howl of the dogs that once serenaded him to sleep.

Arenda | 20007 comments That book is already on Goodreads, as you linked to it in the topic header.

This is not the place to promote your books.

Jan Notzon | 9 comments I didn't mean to. I got a message on an Author's Feedback Group saying that there was no description of either of my books on Goodreads nor Amazon. Her name, I believe is La-Lionne and she said I should ask a member of the Librarians' Group to post said descriptions.
I went to the Librarians' Group and followed the instructions as best I could. I really had no intention of breaking your rules. I'm just really confused.

Arenda | 20007 comments I've added the description.

Just so you know: you can just post a link to the book, and the description, and ask to have the description added to the book.
And since you have claimed your author profile, you should be able to add the description yourself. But if you are confused, librarians are happy to help you.

Jan Notzon | 9 comments Thank you. Uh, you've added the description where exactly? And I can add the description where? Here, in the Librarians' Group, or somewhere else? I'm sorry for these rookie questions, but I'm a novice with how to use Goodreads, as I am with other sites.

As the author, you have limited editing abilities. If necessary, you can click on 'edit details' on the book page, and edit info. Alternatively, you can request here in the Librarians Group to have the edits done for you.

We have the hardcover and paperback in the system, but not the electronic version yet, apparently. If it's a Kindle edition, you can link to the Amazon page and we can add the info from there. If it's an ebook, you'll have to supply the info here or add a new edition yourself (click on the 'Add a new edition' link in the top-right hand corner of the editions page, or the same link underneath the book description on the book page).

Jan Notzon | 9 comments Thanks, lethe. I'll do my best. My technological skills are stone-age.

Is this what you meant?
