Skydust darted out of camp and stood out of the moor. She took a deep breath before catching up to Stormheart. "Come on I know where we can go." She meowed and trotted off, making sure he was following her. She then made her way among the rocky cliffs. She was grateful for her rock colored pelt as Hawks took flight.

Stormheart reluctantly followed her and start grumbling to himself. Great StarClan, Skydust, could you be any slower? It'll be quicker if we run. Stupid she-cat...

As soon as Stormheart started following her, Skydust took off. Her strides quickened immediately and soon she was among the steep cliffs. Unlike any reasonable warrior she didn't even falter in her quick stride. She then caught sight of something she had been tracking for quite a long time. She slid to a stop and dropped to her belly. Her mind was on the hunt and she seemed to completely forget Stormheart. Her breath had slowed and her movements were calculated. She was completely focused.

Stormheart squeaked in surprise and ran after her. When she stopped, he fell forwards, landing on his chest. He glared at her as he sat up. "Warn a boy before you run off like that..." He looked at his pelt in disgust and padded away after noticing Skydust had found something. The last thing that was on his mind was hunting. Right now, the only thing that mattered to him was his pelt.

Skydust flicked her tail signaling for him to be quiet. She crept towards the edge of the cliff and peered down it without warning she kept off the side of the cliff. With her claws outstretched, she landed on the back of a hawk. An alarmed squawking sounded and outstretched wings tried to throw Skydust off. Though Skydust broke the massive creatures neck and dead silence was followed. The best had been empty and the squawking of the hawk would've frightened off any other prey around here. Skydust had no sensibility at all. She gazed down at her kill with pride shown in her eyes. She had remembered hearing stories of a clan that hunted Hawks and eagles regularly. Skydust had decided she was going to attempt it, and here she was with a successful kill, no matter how dangerous it was. She then realized that she was trapped on the ledge. She could climb up herself, but she would have to leave the hawk and Skydust refused to do that.

Done. For now, that is. Stormheart looked up and followed Skydust's scent. He chuckled as he looked down at her. "Looks like you've gotten yourself into a pickle,"

"Shut up." Skydust snapped at him as he laughed at her. She lashed her tail furiously before she picked hawk up. She awkwardly held onto it as she climbed up. Her paws slid constantly, and she was making much progress. She had made it almost half way up when her back paws lost their footing and left her dangling for a moment before she regained her footing. She stayed pressed against the rock wall with the large bird still in her jaws. She was getting tired and the bird wasn't helping much. She climbed up a bit further before she stopped again and just hung there. Her sides were heaving and she couldn't breath properly with the hawk blocking her mouth and partial her nose.

"Stop, stop," Stormheart shook his head. "You're just going to kill yourself if you keep carrying that bird. You'll lose your grip on the cliff and then you'll join StarClan," He carefully climbed down beside Skydust. "You'd better be grateful...I'm risking my life to save the bane of my existence... Now, can I get your scruff without you wriggling?"

Skydust gazed up at Stormheart as she heard his voice. Before she realized what was going on he had climbed down the cliff and was right next to her. She didn't understand what he was doing at first then as he questioned her de understood. She was stubborn, but she was also exhausted so she accepted the help. She had stopped moving and gazed at him.

Stormheart grabbed Skydust's scruff and tried to forget the extra weight. I see her problem...the bird does not help at all. He grunted and pushed himself forward. Once he got his two front paws up, he moved around in the most awkward positions to get the other half of his body, Skydust, and her bird, up.

As Stormheart grabbed a hold on her scruff, she tried to help him the best she could. though as he propelled frowards her paws lost their hold for a moment. She managed the scrabble up next to him and realized that they were practically at the ledge. She relaxed a touch, though stayed concentrated. Her claws slid a touch causing her to slid into him. She managed to gaze up at him and tried to stay still so she wasn't too much of a burden for him.

"Don't move, bee-brain," Stormheart growled through Skydust's scruff. "It makes it harder to keep my grip," He eventually managed to get himself up to safety, along with Skydust. He dragged her away from the edge and then dropped her. "Never do that again," He meowed, then looked around and back to Skydust. "I am now a corpse," He announced and collapsed onto his side. "A breathing corpse who refuses to get up,"

Right because right now I can control where I'm going. She thought. She did as he said though. As he pulled her up on the ledge then pulled her away from the edge she dropped the hawk and took a deep breath before she had started panting, showing how much she really couldn't breath. She too collapsed though once she regained her breath she purred happily and pride shown in her eyes. "Thanks Stormheart." She meowed before chuckling at him. "Oh my it actually does work, you can kill a hawk." She then meowed to herself.

"You're most welcome," Stormheart replied and sat up, then tipped his head in confusion. "What works?"

"Hmm...oh well I uh. That whole hunt was an experiment I suppose. It was a fifty fifty chance. Either I succeed or I failed and I was almost positive it was going to fail, I'm just glad I succeeded." She meowed and realized how mousebrained her idea had sounded.

"You succeeded? I think I deserve at least a tiny bit of credit for saving your life!" Stormheart snapped. After all, I did have the choice of just leaving you there. "The weight of bird would've killed you by making you lose your grip, and it didn't help that you weren't breathing properly. You wouldn't have succeeded without me,"

Skydust chuckled and nodded. "Well of course, but I was more so talking about killing the hawk there was a likely chance it would fling me off it and kill me, I was just pleasantly surprised with happier scenario. Though I am grateful for your help." She meowed and she got to her paws and brushed by him, having their pelts meet purposely as she went to examine the kill. "It was a cleaner kill then I had imagined." She then meowed.

Stormheart awkwardly shifted away from Skydust after their pelts brushed. "I suppose it's ok," Stormheart grunted, looking at her hawk. That was as close to 'yes' as he would go with prey that was caught by others... He secretly believed her kill was great. If it was his own, he'd be boasting about how great it was until he was too tired to keep on going.

Skydust smiled and flicked her tail. "Oh come on, just ok?@" she teased him and then looked extremely pleased with herself. "Would you like to go back?" She then asked gently. She knew pulling her up to the ledge wasn't an easy feat so she almost expected him to be tired.

"I'll tell you after I get rid of all this dust," Stormheart meowed. "I'm a complete mess! I can't go back to camp looking like this!"

Skydust started laughing lightheartedly. "You worry too much." She replied and shook out her pelt, dust particles littered the air around them. She then padded over to Stormheart and seemed to examine him. "I swear your pelt always looks good, heck even now it looks perfect." She meowed enviously.

Stormheart gave her an insecure look and suddenly ran away. No, I'm ugly. I've always been ugly. He didn't stop running until he found a small river. He looked around to make sure there was no one watching him and he padded into the water and sat down.

Skydust gazed at him shocked as he ran away. She felt guilty unsure of what she did. She went over and picked up the hawk before following after him. She would've let him be, but she hated being alone outside of camp. So here she was carrying a large bird, trying to track Stormheart down. She had of course lost him, though after awhile she spotted him. Hiding the hawk she went and and sat down on the bank in the river. "Do you like the water?" She meowed gently.

Stormheart shook his head. "I'm just trying to get the dust off..." He mumbled and moved away from Skydust.

Skydust nodded though watched him move away and shifted slightly. "Did I do something to upset you?" She asked meekly and shifted on her paws. She lowered her head awkwardly and seemed sad. She stayed where she was and didn't meet his gaze.

Stormheart nodded. "You complimented my appearance..." His voice was barely a whisper. That was all that would come out of his mouth. He wanted to explain more, but that'd leave him vulnerable, and that was one of the last things he wanted.

Skydust didn't say anything and finally started backing away from him, feeling rather offended. "So what? I can't give you a compliment without you running away and acting like i did something terrible?" She asked her voice was bitter. Before she realized what she was doing she had turned and darted away from Stormheart, past the hawk and back to the cliffs. She finally skidded to a stop. She was unknowingly right beneath another hawk's nest before she flopped down and curled up angrily. She was both sad and angry, but she also flt remorse. She practically screeched and didn't realize what danger she had just put herself in.

Sotrmheart just watched Skydust as she ran away. He didn't get up to go after her or anything. "This is why I don't like talking to other cats besides Greytail. No one else understands me as much as he does," He murmured and padded out of the water after he started shivering, though the air only made him shiver more.

Skydust as grumbling to herself as she had been targeted, unknowingly. As she realized, she yowled, before darting along the cliff edge. She kept down to other ledges, trying to evade the flying predator, to no prevail. To eventually darted into a cave and was trapped. It was small enough that the hawk wouldn't be able to get in, but it wasn't far enough back and the hawk tried to reach in to get her she clawed at it, but only aggravated the creature farther. She let another yowl that had echoed among the cliff walls. She was so frightened and slightly lost. There was no possible escape and thus this could very well be the end of her.

As soon as he heard Skydust's first yowl, Stormheart's tail twitched in annoyance and followed the sound of her voice. The second yowl made him quicken his pace and freak out a little. I now worry that she doesn't have a brain after all... I thought I told her not to go back to these cliffs again! It's dangerous. Stupid she-cat. After that thought, he completely forgot which way he was supposed to go. "Yowl again," He called, hoping that she would hear him. He'd blame himself for the rest of his life if she died on him. She was his Clanmate after all.

She hadn't heard Stormheart due to her focus of the hawk. Though Skydust's next yowl was filled with pain. The hawk was growing closer to her and as its claws had snagged her, her fear had gotten the best of her and her pain was mostly in her head. She had scrabbled deeper back, but hit the wall and the hawk had caught her scruff. Her yowl sounded again and she tried to free herself from her attacker as it dragged her out of her hiding place. The Hawk squawked as she managed to to dig her claws into its leg. It released her enough that she could scrabble away and back into a corner.

Stormheart squeaked and once again followed the sound of Skydust's voice. As soon as he found her, he picked up his pace. Before he could stop himself, he accidently bumped into the bird. "I meant to do that..." He muttered to himself as he stood up.

As Stormheart ran into the hawk he knocked it of balance and it tumbled on top of Skydust, rendering her unconscious. And the predator regained itself. It got up and turned to its new opponent. It squawked and then went to attack him. Taking flight it dive bombed onto Stormheart.

Stormheart looked up and his eyes widened. He quickly stood up and moved away from where the hawk was aiming.

The hawk hit the ledge and seemed dazed for a bit. It then flapped its wings and took off, finding that they weren't worth all the grief. Skydust was on her side by the cliff wall. She was breathing and aside from a few minor scratches she didn't look too injured. She was still unconscious though seemed to just be sleeping.

Stormheart rushed over to Skydust's side after he watched the bird fly away. "Please be ok, please be ok, please be ok..." He murmured and buried his muzzle into her shoulder.

Skydust groaned and shifted. She scented Stormheart and she opened her eyes and realized that he was right next to her. "Stormheart?" She meowed confused and then remembered the hawk and tensed. "W-where's the hawk?" She squeaked obviously frightened and finally managed to get her paws under herself, before pressing against Stormheart slightly.

"It's gone," Stormheart meowed, stroking Skydust's back with his tail. "It flew away. Are you ok?"

Skydust was still shaking. Though as he stroked her back she did relax a touch. With a heavy sigh she gazed up at him and nodded. "Yes I'm ok." She meowed shakily and gazed at him. "Thank you." She then meowed and got to her paws and still shook slightly.

"You're welcome," Stormheart smiled, then it faded. "I told you not to come back here..." He meowed gently. "It's too dangerous,"

"I know. I-I just think rationally when I'm upset." Skydust replied and her ears laid flat against her head. She seemed to shrink slightly though stayed pressed against him as although it didn't look it she was still shaking. "We should probably head back." She finally meowed meekly as she gazed up at him.

"Quite right," Stormheart nodded. "I think you deserve a rest. And you might want to think about seeing the medicine cat," He looked at her injuries worriedly.

Skydust simply nodded. The injuries she did have didn't hurt, though that may have been due to the fact that she was still terrified. She stood up completely though she stumbled and fell against Stormheart. "Sorry." She meowed embarrassedly and tried to regain her footing. She was still shaking and despite the hard cover she always tried to wear her weak interior was rearing it's ugly head.

"No need to apologize," Stormheart mewed gently. "You just woke up from a bit of a scary situation after all,"

Skydust gazed at him and grew confused. Why was he being so nice. She shook her head and simply listened to what he said. She didn't move for awhile and stayed pressed against him and although she didn't look it, she was still shaking. "Should we go back?" She asked weakly.

"Yep," Stormheart nodded. "I'm taking you back to Camp, like it or not. It's not that often I try to take care of others," It feels rather awkward for me. He added in his mind.

Skydust simply nodded and stood up and gazed at him. "Thank you." She meowed gently and nuzzled him before letting him lead her back to the camp. She didn't realize that he felt as awkward as she felt.

Stormheart's eyes widened and he felt his face heat up as Skydust nuzzled him. "You're welcome..." He mumbled and stood up and padded away.
