Doreen Petersen It was better when Jimmey Kimmel hosted it. This one wasn't bad but there have been better.

I thought Obama was funnier at the last one. But it was not bad and there were a few good zingers.

Doreen Petersen At the last one when he showed a pic of himself and Morgan Freeman side by side I lost my coffee.

That was very funny.

Martin Zook | 615 comments I like the one about orange truly is the new black.

Obamacare getting McConnell a heartbeat wasn't half bad either.

Martin Zook | 615 comments The Kenya jokes were pretty good, too, especially Fox news missing him because they'd have a tough time selling Hillary's Kenyan birth.

I liked that one a lot. I also liked the one about the potted plants directed at Fox.

Time: Hugh Sidey Profiles the Presidents: From FDR to Clinton with Time Magazine's Veteran White House Correspondent

Time Hugh Sidey Profiles the Presidents From FDR to Clinton with Time Magazine's Veteran White House Correspondent by Hugh Sidey by Hugh Sidey (no photo)

Synopsis:

For 43 years, Hugh Sidey has been reporting on the White House for Time, Inc. His lively column, The Presidency, has been featured in Time magazine during the past seven administrations. Nobody understands the complex interplay of personality and power in the Oval Office better than he. Nobody writes about it with as much vitality and depth of experience. Lavishly illustrated with photographs from Time magazine's exceptional archives, this is a bracing and intimate view of our last eleven presidents, from FDR to Bill Clinton. At the heart of the book is a fresh profile of each man, drawn from Sidey's unparalleled access to the inner workings of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Vintage columns, each with a new introduction, can be found here as well.
About the Author:

Hugh Sidey was born in Greenfield, Iowa, in 1927. He joined the Life magazine staff in 1955 and began covering the White House in 1957. He has been writing the column The Presidency for Time since 1966. Sidey has served as the president of the White House Historical Association since 1998.

Ah. I didn't realize Fox tried to make hay on that, although I did see some of the sit-down with dweeb who hosts the show.

My initial reaction to the show, whatever it's called, was that it sinks to a level somewhat above the reality segment that showed a guy on the pot extracting a tape worm from his bum. I couldn't figure out why Obama was on the show.

Then I read about the bump in signups from the younger population which is going to pay for my health insurance. I'm ok with that.

I think that President Obama had it right - to try to get the younger population on board and I am also OK with that.

Fox has a field day it appears with anything this President does (smile).

It is not a show that appeals to me but then again I have insurance - thankfully (smile)
