Since everyone has read this I won't make this lengthy. This book reminded me a lot of Stephanie Meyers book The Host. Similar ideas of aliens taking over the consciousness of humans and taking over the planet that way. This book has better writing. I usually refer to The Host as the "kissing" book and movie, because that's all the main character does. I was excited to read this one because of all the hype and some of that had comparisons to The Hunger Games. But the book did not live up to any of the hype, and I'm wondering if the movie is better? Nor did it have any comparison to The Hunger Games. I didn't hate it, but I found myself skimming through a lot of it because it lacked depth to me. I'll probably keep reading the series though, out of curiosity.

I'm on the middle of reading this, but I'm not too far into it. I've heard from a few people recently that it doesn't live up to the hype. I hope I like it. I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to YA, lol.
