Karsyn (imzadi) Daphne, you around? I'll assume you are reading and will check in when you can.

I listened from 45% to 61% and the crap just hit the fan. Holy cow, so I'm still gonna read for a while. :D

Anyone want 9-10 (5-6am EST?) I'll take it if no one is around. :)

message 53: by Daphne (new)

Daphne (daphnesm) | 937 comments Wasn't able to check in until I got to a stoplight! I'm listening and settling in for my hour. :)

9am London time would work for me if it's still available?

I'll start with a half-hour sprint though if that's alright? Until 9.30. Because at that time I'll have to go take the laundry out ;-)

Absolutely, and welcome! I'll add you in!! :D

Great Daphne, I figured you were around. I couldn't stop where I am right now anyways so I'm sprinting with you. :)

The 9:30 is yours Bobbi. I'm up and reading as well. :)

Sorry for the double post, but it's still ongoing if you do find yourself with a free half hour, Maddison.

Edit: Karsyn's faster on the draw than me, haha! :D

I'm currently reading The Invisible Library (The Invisible Library #1) by Genevieve Cogman .

I'll start on page 106. And will hopefully get a large chunk read (for my reading speed that is hehe).

message 63: by Daphne (new)

Daphne (daphnesm) | 937 comments Finished my Agatha and decided to make myself listen to another hour of The Goldfinch. ONE HOUR LEFT! :)

Daphne, that almost sounds like you don't enjoy the book very much? I still haven't started it though it's been sitting on my shelf for over a year now.

What are you reading, Karsyn?

I managed to get to page 129, which is really not bad for me :-)

message 67: by Eldarwen (new)

If it's still available I'd like to snag the 11-11.30 slot please.

message 68: by Karsyn (new)

Karsyn (imzadi) I am reading ~

Just One Damned Thing After Another (The Chronicles of St. Mary's, #1) by Jodi Taylor

It's a fantastic time travel book and I'll be going straight into the 2nd book. I love time travel books and this will probably end up being my 2nd favorite time travel series. Can't wait to read more and still have 15% to go.

11 is yours. :D

Nope. Not really a fan. Way too many words without really saying much. This is my 2nd Tartt book, and definitely my last.

Right, I'll attempt a bit more "sprint" reading before my actual sprint is up in an hour.

I'm hoping to finish the book today and preferably before it's too late in the evening. Let's see if I'll manage :-)

Bobbi (schadenfreudian) | 463 comments And done! Got to page 39 of A Darker Shade of Magic (Shades of Magic, #1) by V.E. Schwab . The main character is... a special kind of interesting, but I really like this author so we shall see.

Edit: I don't English so good... apparently. Typos.

I won't fault you for a marathon instead, that's what I've got going on. :D

Enjoy Emily!

message 78: by Karsyn (new)

Karsyn (imzadi) Eldarwen, you're almost up. :) Do you wanna just sprint the 30 or take the longer hour?

message 79: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13779 comments Mod
Hmm.... you know what, I'll take the hour. I'll be reading for all of it anyway.
Thanks!

I'll start at page 161.

message 80: by Karsyn (new)

Karsyn (imzadi) Woohooo! :) Sounds good.

I'm gonna rest my eyes, so hopefully Angie will join us at 12 (8 EST) and I'll be back by then as well. Our half way point. Y'all did AWESOME during the night. WOOHOO!!

message 81: by Emily (new)

Emily | 440 comments Finished my official sprint on page 110 (my god I read slowly).

I'm going to keep reading lazily for awhile longer, so I'll keep company with whoever else is in.

Decided to overrun a little so I could finish my chapter. Stopped at page 200.

But now I'm feeling a little tired, so a reading break is needed. Perfect time for lunch! ;-)

message 87: by Karsyn (new)

Karsyn (imzadi) Have fun Angie!

WTG Eldarwen!! Enjoy lunch. I'm definitely sleepy, and hungry here. Gotta wait for Hubby to get up for some cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Yum!! :D

message 90: by Karsyn (new)

Karsyn (imzadi) LOL! Too bad our oven squeaks when it's opened. I could make 'em and serve Him breakfast in bed. I can't remember the last time He slept this late. It's sooooo rare that I'll probably have to check on Him soon, for my own state of mind (He has health/heart issues, which for a while have been good, but.....)

Cinnamon rolls are one of our go to breakfasts for when He's off work. That or donuts. Not a healthy food in this household!! :D

message 91: by Bobbi (new)

Bobbi (schadenfreudian) | 463 comments Cinnamon rolls or donuts. I think I may have drooled on my keyboard.

message 92: by Karsyn (last edited Mar 20, 2016 06:30AM) (new)

Karsyn (imzadi) Hehe!! It's yummy.

And He's STILL not up. I'm trying not to freak out right now. I know He's ok, but still. I want to check on Him but if I do that, I'll wake Him (everything in this stupid place is old, the door doesn't fit in the jam right so it takes effort to open and is louder than the squeaking oven). I'm not going to last much longer without checking on Him. Argh!

edit: Just heard Him move. YAY!! Now I can relax.

message 93: by Bobbi (new)

Bobbi (schadenfreudian) | 463 comments Good! I'm glad. That can be really stressful.

Okay, reading time.

message 94: by Angie ☯ (new)

Angie ☯ | 3157 comments Karsyn - I will check back in later this evening to see if there are open times.

message 96: by Karsyn (new)

Karsyn (imzadi) Great job Angie!! We'll be around all day, so check back when you can! :D

YAY, Hubby got up right after I heard Him moving around. He slept til 9:30, He hasn't done that in YEARS, we can't even remember the last time He slept until 8. 7 is a treat for Him, so I guess He needed it. We scarfed down some cinnamon rolls and are just hanging out. :)

message 97: by Karsyn (new)

Karsyn (imzadi) Anyone around and want the 4:30p-5:00p (12:30p-1:00p EST) slot? If not I'll do it, so no worries there, just thought I'd ask. After that, just 5 remaining hours open, so grab 'em while you can! :)

message 98: by Karsyn (new)

Karsyn (imzadi) Ready to start my sprint and get back to the time traveling world of St Mary's. Woohoo.

Karen, you're up in a half hour. You around? :)

message 99: by Rylie (new)

Rylie | 298 comments Good morning! I woke up in time to see that the 3 to 4 spots were taken. :) The only other spot I can take is that half hour between 4:30 and 5. We have D&D at 1 PM eastern every Sunday, and that can go for a few hours.

message 100: by Bobbi (new)

Bobbi (schadenfreudian) | 463 comments Just finished another 53 pages in A Darker Shade of Magic (Shades of Magic, #1) by V.E. Schwab .
