What are you reading March 14?

This week I'm reading Hot Head by Damon Suede, Knave Of Broken Hearts by Tara Lain, and Caught! by J.L. Merrow.

I just finished Love, Chloe yesterday. Now this one is a little different. It's really well written but in a format that takes a little getting used to. The story is told in segments. At first I didn't particularly like Chloe but by the end it was all good.

I'm currently reading and absolutely loving it. The cover is so eye-catching and the story is really cheeky and cute.

I really don't know. The next new releases I am looking forward to are the end of this month. Maybe it's time for nonfiction...I have a bunch of books about the 18 and 19 c .

I'm not reading anything right now, which is unusual. I dunno. Maybe something will jump out at me. Until then, I've got plenty of other stuff to keep me busy.

I just finished up a re-read of Mary Balogh's INDISCREET. I read the audio book review at AAR and remembered how much I really liked this book. It's been years but I still love it. I love how MB spins a story - how things aren't always as they seem. I also love her grasp of the times and consequences of one's actions. She also has a wonderful way of showing growth and understanding throughout her stories, especially for her heroes.

I'm reading copyedits. :P But I just got all the novellas in the DABWAHA that I hadn't yet read, and I'm hoping to squish in some of them this week.

I love her too. One of my favorites by her is Matter of Class. I don't think I've read Indiscreet so I'll have to try that one.

Can someone please take pity on me and explain what steam punk is??? I thought I knew but I'm not sure ... Lol

Steam punk - a genre of science fiction that typically features steam-powered machinery rather than advanced technology.

It's kind of like historical. I've only read one and I enjoyed it.

I finished the serpent prince and now I'm reading Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare! Waited 5 years for this to come out! So far it's pretty good

I've been pretty busy this week and listening to audio books. I started with Sandra Brown's Mean Streak after seeing it in one of Manda's comments. Wow! I was hooked and my library has most of her books , so I have also finished Deadline & Lethal this week. I've downloaded The Switch and Smoke Screen for my next to enjoy.

I'm reading and LOVING an ARC of Nobody But You. I'm a huge Jill Shalvis fan and this one is just proof of why she has stayed near the top of the list for so many years.

I'm listening to The Gamble. I've read it numerous times but this is the first time I'm listening to it. It must be very hard to go from doing an English female accent to a deep male American accent but she does it really well in my opinion.

I just finished both Him and Us by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy. Enjoyed them both quite a lot. Great writing and sexy, funny, sweet romance. The first one was very similar in set up to Bowen's The Understatement of the Year but the second felt more original. And it wasn't that I disliked HIM just that it didn't feel as fresh as US. (These are both male/male, just an FYI.)

I really enjoyed Him and Us. I haven't read any of Sarina Bowen's other work but I have bought some. Just need some time to read it :-)

I have been rereading C S Harris' Sebastian St Cyr series. The writing and historical detail is wonderful as is the relationship between Sebastian and Hero (who becomes his wife). I get annoyed at the way he doesn't ask key questions--either from people involved in the crimes he is investigating or who know about aspects of his parents' lives that he is desperately curious about --until they have just been shot, and the way people die before they can answer him--not to mention the way the deaths don't seem to be the logical result of a murderers thinking but just a way to move the plot along. But the books are so wonderful in other ways that I love reading them nonetheless

Her Ivy Years series is one of my favorites. They're all good, but The Year We Fell Down is my favorite.

Deb, I've been meaning to read the St. Cyr series. I need to get to it. Sounds like I'm missing some great reads!

Manda, absolutely. I actually have never read the first three--what I have read about them doesn't interest me. But I've loved all the books from the fourth book on. She weaves fascinating bits of history in and the books cross all levels of society. And the people are fascinating.

I love that you're not afraid to start a series in the middle! I do that too sometimes when a plot or description just grabs me. I think I have the first one on my Kindle from a sale. I'll take a look, though in my current mood (see newer reading thread), I probably should wait.
