Brandy (romansgirl) | 87 comments In World War II France, two sisters must each navigate through the German occupation. One can only think of keeping her daughter safe; the other can only think of a way to fight back.

I listened to this on audio and was captivated by the stories of both of these women. We don't often get a glimpse of life outside of the Germany camps during WWII. So much of the focus is on the horror of what the Jewish people endured, and rightly so. But what drew me in to this story was the perspective of the French people and their part in this war. Captivating. I was especially intrigued by the chatacter of Captain Beck.

I always like suggestions for good books on audio. I'll have to see if I can get this title from the library.
