J.D. Carabella (jdcarabella) | 12 comments I keep struggling with whether or not I'm leaning more towards PNR or UF.
PNR is focused on the romance, right?
UF is supernatural, but romance might be a part of it.
I find the first books in a series are easy to think of as PNR - but once the couple is together, and I still have more stories of their adventures I want to write - but don't want to play the 'will they stay together or will they break up' game - what then? The book switches to UF?
Does the audiences cross over enough that is ok, or does it need to stay 'pure'?

Francina Simone (francinasimone) Write the story that your characters need to tell. Your audience will love it whether or not the genre matches to the minute detail.

The story is more important than the tropes in it (^_^)

Graeme Rodaughan Francina makes an excellent point.

Just be authentic and true to your story and the audience will look after itself.

Cheers Graeme
