higher resolution covers

so. am I allowed to delete a cover if I have the exact same cover to add only in a higer resolution?
for example:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
has a really small/low res cover image. I own the exact same edition and can scan the cover in better quality.
or is this against the "don't delete covers" policy as well?

Yes, adding a better quality cover is allowed (as long as the source of the cover is acceptable; your own scan is acceptable).
Please make sure to leave a librarian change comment when you upload the better quality cover ("replaced the cover with a better quality version of the same cover, my own scan" or similar frasing).
