Madrano (madran) | 3732 comments Lives in Ruins: Archeologists and the Seductive Lure of Human Rubble by Marilyn Johnson sounds good, fan as i am of books about archaeology. Several years ago I read the first book on the list, Ways of Seeing by John Berger. I liked it but spent far too much time "arguing" with him, so plan to read it again.

Madrano (madran) | 3732 comments I've appreciated the few TED talks i've watched. It was neat to see which presenter listed books i like/know.

I'm interested in The Singing Neanderthals: The Origins of Music, Language, Mind, and Body which I can get through interlibrary loan.

Anita (neet413) | 93 comments I'll have to check this out, I start every Sunday morning with a TED talk while making coffee. I've seen Adam Savage do a couple, he's always informative AND entertaining.
