The first day of spring is March 20! Hopefully that means more time outside enjoying nature. Choose a fiction or nonfiction book where nature or the natural world plays a prominent role in the story. Discuss its role and how it affects the characters.

Here are some Goodreads lists to give you some ideas:
Popular Man v. Nature stories: https://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/...

Mallory I am reading "The National Parks: America's Best Idea" by Ken Burns and Dayton Duncan. My dad and I watched the PBS series when it was on several years ago. (Which makes reading the book all that much better because I can hear that distinct narrator voice in my head!) It's a fantastic piece of our history that was really quite radical: setting aside huge tracts of land and natural wonders for nothing more than the public's enjoyment. Lots of gorgeous photography too. It's making me realize how many parks I haven't been to and begin to plan my next few vacations in my head.
