I added a definition for "animal". Insects, birds, and fish are acceptable. ☺

This is my day to finish books, it appears. I finished The Cat Who Could Read Backwards by Lilian Jackson Braun tonight.

message 14: by Melki (new)

Melki I'm done with Mrs. Ravenbach's Way. (Get it? Raven?) A pretty unpleasant book, in my opinion.

Glad you liked it. I can't imagine never leaving my basement.
I hate it down there. It smells funny and there are really BIG spiders.

Melki Finished another one - the delightful Dog!: You'll Never Look At Your Dog the Same Way Again..

message 20: by Melki (new)

Melki Finished The Tick: The Naked City.

A thoroughly unpleasant critter, but I suppose it fits this challenge.

Melki Another one - the mostly unpleasant - The Monkey Wrench Gang.

message 23: by Melki (new)

Melki Finished another - the delightful The Mouse That Roared.

message 24: by Rhonda (new)

I was almost finished with this one before I realized it would fit this challenge.

Rebecca Douglass (rdouglass) | 379 comments Melki wrote: "Finished another - the delightful The Mouse That Roared."

Golly, I remember reading that back in high school or earlier!

message 26: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Douglass (rdouglass) | 379 comments And Melki, I really really wish you'd not posted that picture. There is really only one kind of critter I hate, and you put up a photo. Ugh!

message 27: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Douglass (rdouglass) | 379 comments Thunder Horse by Peter Bowen

message 28: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Douglass (rdouglass) | 379 comments Going back through my lists. #2: The Lion's Paw by Robb White

message 29: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Douglass (rdouglass) | 379 comments and how about The Animal Keepers - The Story of an Unlikely Hero and an Unforgettable Season? Granted, the "animal" referred to is a nickname for a kid, but...it definitely has "animal" in the title!

message 30: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Douglass (rdouglass) | 379 comments Oops, take back that last one. I finished it in Feb. But I did read How to Speak Dolphin this month, in addition to the other two.

message 32: by Melki (new)

Melki I really enjoyed this challenge. Since I have a huge stack I didn't get to yet, I hope we do it again next year.

Sorry about that. Speaking as a dog lover, I don't like ticks, either.

That was such a fun book! I love a well-written social/political satire.
