Melanie (mvalente89) | 1763 comments So I'm not sure what to do with this one and as I am a new librarian, I thought it best to ask.

When I went to add the ASIN (B00V37BBJI) to the Kindle edition of First & Then, it said it was already taken by an ebook edition. So I went to the ebook edition to possibly change the format to a Kindle ebook and noticed in the change log that someone changed the format from Hardcover to ebook when they added this ASIN.

Aren't we usually not supposed to change the format like that? Maybe I'm wrong about that, so I wanted to see what should be done here. Should the format change be reverted (which would cause this one to be a duplicate of the Hardcover with ISBN 9781627792356 which it would then need to be merged into)? Or should the format be changed to Kindle and then the one currently marked as a Kindle edition would need to be merged?

As I said, I'm newer and I wanted to see what the policy is on this.

Arenda | 20806 comments I'd say revert the format change as that is not allowed, and merge into the hardcover edition.
The asin can then be added to the Kindle edition.
