Spoilers must be hidden (like what Rose did). Any unhidden spoilers are forbidden, will be removed, and any offending member will be given a warning/removed from the group.
I know I haven't read this one yet, so I would be upset if a spoiler was posted and not hidden.

Yay! I currently have this checked out from the library, so it's a perfect time to read it. I haven't heard too many great reviews about this, but I am excited to see what I think of it.

I understand. I usually don't break it down like that just because I don't like putting people on reading schedules. We're kind of laid back here when it comes to reading and discussing.

I totally understand <3 no worries at all!
I just finished it and I'm not loving it. I would have stopped reading it early on, but it was a fast enough read that I stuck through it. The romance is the only thing that made it okay...

Sorry! But I really liked The Selection books, so this was a huge letdown to me. Some people have liked it though.

I'm only about halfway through, and it's kind of monotone, but I'm wandering if Kiera did that on purpose because of (view spoiler)
I'm not saying that I don't like it, but it definitley adds a different emotional layer to the book.
That could be, but it just didn't hold my attention. I really would have quit it early on if it wasn't such a quick read. I'm all for having emotional layers, but Kiera just didn't do it for me in this book...

Can anyone believe the ending?! like why? I was disappointed by that

It's actually really easy!
So when you want to hide something just do this without the asterisks:
<*spoiler> SPOILER GOES HERE <*/spoiler*>
It will hide whatever you want to hide.

I had the same problem with America in The Selection, but I liked The Elite and The One more. I was happy with Eadlyn's voice, but Kahlen needs a little help. :(

I should be finishing this today! and I think I'll be the odd one out for once, since I actually enjoy this. it's not the best book ever, but I do like the story...unless these last 100 pages are absolutely horrible!

As promised, I have a few discussion questions for everyone! Please just be sure to hide any spoilers just in case any members still haven't read the book.
Let's start with some easy ones:
1. What do you think of the cover?
2. Had you previously read the edition of The Siren that Kiera self-published? The cover looks like this: The Siren
Okay... moving on to some tougher questions...
3. Based on the synopsis, what predictions did you have for Kahlen? Akinli? The Ocean?
4. Did any of your predictions come true? (Please hide any spoilers if you want to go into detail.)
5. What did you think about The Ocean? Did you love Her? Hate Her?
6. What do you think about the lifecycle of a siren?
I think that's way to long and evil the time frame
1. It's a bit cliche in my opinion. Definitely too similar to The Selection series covers.2. No, I haven't.
3. Easily saw Kahlen and Akinli having a romance, The Ocean was very different from what I expected.
4. Yeah, a few.
5. Ok, really intriguing character.
6. I don't really have an opinion about it, but quite interesting. I suppose it would pass slowly..
1. I think the cover is really pretty. I love that Kiera Cass's covers are always so gorgeous!2. I haven't, but the original cover was pretty bad.
3. I figured they would fall in love. I had no idea what to expect of the ocean.

5. I did not like the ocean at all. It was definitely an interesting character, but so mean.
6. It's pretty interesting, but definitely too long. 100 years of doing that job would be painfully long. I also don't like how you would lose all your memories after 100 years.
