I was enamored by this story of a dysfunctional Ukrainian family. I enjoyed the beginning but when Valentina joined the story I was laughing my head off. I enjoy a good comedy and the sarcasm was entertaining. How could you not like chapters titled Squishy Squashy and A Half-Eaten Ham Sandwich, priceless. The story had some historical value as well; the war, communism and Ukraine. I will gladly read more of this author's writing.
