Elise | 12 comments Hi,

I was looking online for some books Markus Zusak had recommended so I could pick a book for this topic and I came across a site asking certain authors to recommend a book from that year plus 2 others from their shelves

I thought I'd share them in case they happen to be someones fave author :)

This is the page relating to Markus Zusak but there are links at the bottom to other authors
eg. John Green, Elizabeth Gilbert, David Baldacci, Khaled Hosseini, G R R Martin and others

These are grand, especially the 2nd! I was all set to track down David McCullough's favourite books, and, there they are, on the Amazon list.

http://www.jasnaeastpa.org/student.html has a list of some of Jane Austen's favourites. It turns out one of her top ones was by Samuel Richardson (The History of Sir Charles Grandison. I don't know whether I've fully recovered enough from the tedious Pamela, or Virtue Rewarded (read for the 2015 challenge) to tackle another Richardson. It's awfully tempting to follow in McCullough's footsteps (eye tracks?) instead.
